Aisha Jamila is an American actor who is most well recognized for her appearances in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown in TV series including 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she began her career as an actor in the year 2003. The role she played on Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to attract her interest. It was however her portrayal of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the documentary film All the Way, which earned her the respect she earned as an actress. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series will be renewed for another season. Hind has completed filming in the Hollywood flick Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due for release mid-2019.
